Thought about it some more and wanted to add: While it's important to consider reviews for this type of list because you don't want to include everything and try and set some bar of quality, I don't think you can ignore something because it didn't meet your metacritic threshold. Plenty of games have become cult hits this way.

Agreed, for instance Front Mission is one of my favorite franchises, but it only returns modest review scores. Plus a lot of good JRPG's on a PS3/360 have had sub 70 scores, but were worthwhile experiences (e.g. Magna Carta 2, and the Alteir series).

This is why you judge the feedback given by users. If I look around on VGC I will find a large community who talk about Alteir and Front Mission, and simply adore the game. I'll even find a small crowd who like Unit 13. However you won't find much PilotWings Resorts, or Resistance: Burning Skies support.

There are many ways to judge a game without playing it. However often times, you need to just try it out. Monster Hunter and Persona are for example 2 highly reviewed games critically, and by users, but when I tried them out, I absolutely hated them. I do admit I need to try out a few more games before I can pass judgement on various series (I have barely played any Disgaea or Alteir), but I never critisize a game like this.

If you actually read what I've said, I've never called any PSV bad. I said I wouldn't include Ragnarok Odyssey as a reason to buy a Vita because of bad reviews, but since this is exactly the type of game which you need to try first before you can judge, I never said it was bad, or told someone to take that off their list of reasons why Vita is good. Also this is only 1 example, for most Vita games I sai they were meh.

And they are "meh." Maybe Uncharted: Golden Abyss is actually mind blowing like the console games.....but maybe it isn't. The game hasn't recieved high enough review scores, or a strong enough user following to give it more merit to play instead of my PSP backlog, or my DS backlog, or new 3DS games, or other PSV games, or even some other retro handheld game i haven't beaten.

It's low priority, and that's my opinion of most of the better PSV exclusives, that's why, as I've said countless times, I'll likely still get a Vita, just not now because right now, it is a waste for people like me, who aren't interested in ports or PS3 clones.
