If my tone is at all negative, or cynical, it's because people keep telling me that my opinion is wrong, and invalid, despite being grounded and based on real facts.

You're not insulting me, I just felt that last comment was a bit rude, I did take it personally, sorry.

I said most of those games are average because of their metascore. Most of the games mentioned, which you are refering to, had scores in the 70's, some as low as 71. Even Uncharted only got an 80, where the PS3 versions typically score 90+.

How do you know that I haven't played a single PSV port/enhanced remake? I belive I stated before that I have played PSV in store demos.

Also, I don't believe that you're using the term irony correctly, that's why I feel insulted. What's ironic? What am I doing, and critisizing others for?

Damn it. I had this big block of text typed up and I accidentally refreshed and it got wiped away. Here's my cliffs notes ()

1. There's disconnect because you place value in reviews and metacritics scores while I ignore them. A lot of favorite games have scored poorly on metacritic for one reason or another and there's been plenty of terrible GOTY contenders that get 90s.

2. I don't consider playing a demo of something a qualifier to give a final say on the quality of the game. I have no idea on how much time you spent with each game (that would creeeeeepy), but I'm just going off the information you supplied. There are exceptions where a game is so broken or messed up beyond all hope, but these are not these extreme cases. If I didn't enjoy a demo, I wouldn't call it a bad game, but that I didn't enjoy it and I'm not interested in buying the full game. I'm not qualified to review it with the short amount of time I spent with it.

3. Ironic only because I would consider someone stating the quality of a product or service they haven't experienced by using another's opinion as the reason for the view as ignorant.

Sometimes when you press <- back, it returns you to your previous page, all text included. I do that when I accendently click an ad.

1. I 100% agree with you, but I still use review scores as a reference. For the most part, I agree with review scores, except in the cases of an overhyped good game (Halo 4, GTA IV), and in the case of a niche game (Front Mission Evolved, Golden Sun, The 3rd Birthday....actually JRPG's lately are getting decent scores).

2. I never called anything a bad game, just meh. This is you extrapolating.

3. That's not irony, that's extrapolating experiences, and it would be plain dumb if I had no reference to base this on. I never said any game was bad, just from my experiences I said that nothing on PSV stands out, so I should be clear, even to your standards.

I think you're line for ignorant is a bit too high, I own pretty much every console there is, and I think people are capable to some degree to judge a game, without playing it. I mention references to back up my case, but a lot of PSV exclusives, just don't look interesting. Also some of the exclusives I base off my experience with PSP prequels (like Luminies), so this is not ignorant at all.

So for example, I feel I am allowed to say that Soul Sacrifice is meh. 1. It looks similar to Monster Hunter, and an easy Demon Souls (and difficulty is apparently a reason why people love this series). So I'm allowed to say that I'm not interested in this game because I've played both Monster Hunter and Demon's Souls, and didn't enjoy them. 2. The review score is used to reflect my arguement, this game got a lower score then Demon Souls, and even Monster Hunter, so if most people view it less then those series, then it says something about the quality.

I'm not basing my opinion of a game, based off some time playing a demo, like you said demo's can be broken, and as an example, I hated the Too Human demo, but LOVED the game. However, I am capable of judging a game based off its gameplay, and I am capable of seeing the pros and cons of a game, mentioned in a review when I play it. AKA, if a review says a game is repetative, and I already begin to see repetative tasks in only 5 minutes, I don't need to play anymore to be able to expect the game to be repetative, like the review states.
