Mario & Luigi: Dream Team only sold about 100,000 units FW- Is this finally proof that gamer's are burned out on Mario?

Of course not. Paper Mario: Sticker Star (whilst being panned by many members here) has gone on to sell ahead of SPM and TTYD. This game could do the same as well when compared to Partners in Time. The only thing that is out of question would most likely be Bowsers Inside Story being beat by this game.

Also, is this just a prediction? Because "about 100'000" isn't exact. Would it be below or above that number?
