That's the problem when discussing the daily image, I agree with you that today's image is a Kid Icarus stage but I'm still pretty sure yesterday's image was FIre Emblem.

Yesterdays image was Kid Icarus. Sakurai's comment on Miiverse doesn't leave any other possibility. Today's image is what I think will be the new Battlefield stage.

Same stage at daylight, proof is the metal construction in the background. Only stage with day/night circle in SSBB - Battlefield. One main platform with three smaller floating platforms - Battlefield. Of course that's not an absolute proof, but this stage doesn't give me any "Kid Icarus" vibe whatsoever.
