The games available on psvita (non ports) are pretty darn awesome and I'm not surprised you say that, since you don't have one. But still calling it a waste is a very strong statement and I would avoid it if I were you in the future. It's a result of ignorance, since you haven't played most of them if any. That's why you don't see me calling WiiU a waste, as I've only played one game (Rayman Legends) on it at my local HMV. Since I don't own one and don't know enough about its exclusives, not only am I not calling it a waste, but I don't comment negatively on positive threads about WiiU, especially considering my limited knowledge of its value. |
I love replaying old games, but why would you pay $250 for a console, only to buy the game again? Seems redundant, why not just beat the version you already own?
What games on Vita aren't ports? Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Resistance, Unit 13? Not much....
Of course I don't have a Vita, I have a PSP, it's much better.
Ignorance? LOL No it's counting, PSV doesn't even have a single exclusive JRPG.. and it's biggest original games are washed down PS3 franchises. PSP had Crisis Core, Jeanne D'Ark, The 3rd Birthday etc. It didn't rely on Grand Theft Auto and God of War, like PSV relies on Uncharted and Killzone.
So tell me, why own a Vita if you already have the ports, and if you have a PS3? All Vita is is a second PS3 that's more limited, but portable. ATM you're paying a lot of money to play the exact same games you own (if your primary reasons are ports and PS3 multiplat games). This to me seems like a waste, and judging from its sales, most agree with me.

Look, I don't mean to spoil the party, clearly people who like the PSV love it. I'm just giving my 2 cents. The OP gave a list of games, and said "this is why you should have a PSVita." The title clearly is telling me that I should have a PSV, and I'm just saying I don't because the lineup is all ports or downgraded PS3 games.
If someone made a thread saying "You should own a Wii U" then you can go in and say what you like, it's a public forum.
PSP had the exact same problem early in its life too, but then it got some good games. I'm really disappointed in Vita because it doesn't have well any major unique games coming out. God Eater 2 is also coming out to PSP (at least in Japan), and....then there is nothing.

Ok, so it's a perception thing. I understand your thoughts now. |
I don't understand what you mean? I like owning physical copies of games, not digital. Makes a world of difference because overtime they do become valuable, and if I don't like it I can sell it.
It's not perceptual, it's a system of value. Retail games have value, digital games do not.
