MS didn't violate anything, they complied to govermental requests. if tomorrow the NSA contacts vgchartz with a court order and ask you to reveal all the private messages I sent on that site with valid ground, you do it and you stfu, it's not like you have the choice. So what MS did is pretty much what anybody does in the same situation they apply the law, if they can deny a request they do, if they can't they comply. simple as that
