Taking those Figures one would expect the PS3 sales to be 1/3 of sales of the United States. However Japans Population is aging so ence their are fewer perspective buyers and those who buy them may not have a lot of time. The PS3 Was Released in Japan 15 months ago on November 11th, 2006. The Console has sold close to 2mil. so by dividing the number by 60 we can see that the PS3 has averaged over 33,000 units a week in Japan. even at 19k and 20k like it has been going at this past month it is about equivalent to 60k in the states. While the Wii has done a lot of things right including its size and who it is aimed at it by no way means that the PS3 is dead in Japan.
