I'm enjoying it. It has a ton of fresh ideas for gameplay and I love the cinematic action. Although, I will say I absolutely depise the storytelling. Never before have I played 7 hours of a game and have no idea about a plotline, world, etc. They're spoon feeding info and all I know is that they're a merc group doing business in Ezel City.

Given how damn good the gameplay in RoF was, consider it all you need to know. Just focus on getting a gun with 13 scopes, 6 barrels, and 3 handles.

I'm enjoying the gameplay but it's not without it's flaws (I do have guns with 8 scopes on them, so I may still be a scrub). Tri-attacks are still annoying and the hit boxs are off by a lot and often (in terms of where damage is applied). It's the most enjoyable Tri-Ace I've played since Star Ocean 2 or Valkyrie Profile (whichever came last).

You'll grow soon yet, young outlaw. Into monster guns. And for me it's the most enjoyable tri-Ace game since ever (but hey, I only played SO3/4 and RoF)

There's something about it that made me not care about the flaws at all. It flows well for 99% of the time anyway - though.. friendly advice: save your armor piercing ammo.
