Yeah, that's true. My rule was 10€ or less. I think that's the only reason I spent ~40€ instead of 400€ at the sale XD

The problem is there are so many sales that we all know that the games will only get cheaper and cheaper (apart from CoD...) so if they aren't that new, most people will wait for the game to come down until it is dirt cheap. Steam has really destroyed the value of PC games

Maybe Steam did speed things up a bit, but I remember buying games for ~half the price around three months after launch 4-5 years ago when Steam wasn't nearly as big as it is now. Honestly, currently Nintendo is the only Publisher on any console NOT to drop prices ridiculously short after launch. The problem for publishers is not limited to Steam.

It is certainly more of a problem on Steam. i buy most PC games for less that £10, becuase I know they will get there. Most retailers stop selling console games before they get that low, they normally end at £20 and there is no guarentee that they will go lower, unlike Steam where you know that they will hit the bottom immediately.

Also, Nintendo games tend to sell forever, there is no need for them to drop their prices.
