As I've said before, just because Sony and Microsoft try to come out smelling like roses by not hard-implementing system-wide DRM or mandatory online, that doesn't mean that they won't allow third parties to make those things happen in their own games. It was the big third party pubs pushing for that shit in the first place. So there's no reason to act surprised about this.

There's no reason to act surprised? After seeing the backlash that Microsoft got it should have scared third party developers straight. I garuntee this will cut the sales of The Crew and The Division. Especially considering how much these games cost to make now Ubisoft is taking a big gamble and I hope it doesn't pay off or other third party studios will start to follow suit, thinking that's where the money is.

I didn't say it was a good thing, did I? I personally hate the idea of DRM for disc based games, AND being forced to be online. Two reasons I am glad I own a Wii U. But the fact of the matter is, Sony making such a big show of "oh well WE'RE not gonna do that stuff", was all PR, and half-BS. They ARE going to do it, or at least allow companies to do it, they're just not going to enforce it system-wide as MS was originally intending to do.
