To all the people saying "they would have seen him and his 'disguise' would have been no good," I agree with you. People did see what he looked like and "laying low" with the lame disguise and working for the paper would not have worked. But at the same time, people would LOSE THEIR MINDS if they had changed that much of the lore from the comic. Imagine the nerd rage if he didn't work there or had a mask or something.

Thats the thing. I don't mind the lore, but they are trying to shoehorn it into this gritty and realistic take and it just doesn't work. I think the best tone would be something closer to the Paul Dini, Bruce Timm cartoons. For the life of me, I don't get why superman needs to be "realistic". I understand it with batman, but not with superman. Theres nothing wrong with Superman being a little cheesy, but if you decide your going to take out all the cheese and the humor and the joy, you don't also get to use that aspect of the lore. I'm sorry, but you can't have it both ways.

I thought the movie was a little dark, but realistic? It's just another way to look at Superman. "How would people react if someone that can do these extraordinary things appear out of nowhere"?

I don't get these "realistic" complains.
