well...technically MOS didn't get unanimously terrible reviews. It seemed to polarise critics ie some loved it, some hated it (this is a common trait with Zack Snyder movies)...I found that if you move away from sites like rotten tomato's and metacritic, and looked at a lot of the nerdier sites, it fared much better. I guess a lot of the mainstream critics are just grumpy old people who don't really understand comic book movies anyway unless they have someone charming and witty in them, making wise cracks every 2 minutes. The fans of this type of thing, on the whole, seemed to like it, that's the main thing...
I also predict that when MOS 2 arrives, there'll be a group of reviewers claiming to have loved it.
