LOL... In the so called "gritty and realistic" Man of Steel he does the same thing at the end. Noone recognizes him because he put on a pair of glasses.

In the end he goes to the Daily Planet. Who at the Daily Planet knows who he is other than Lois Lane. The only person who he has talked with and seen him was Lois Lane so everyone else working there just thinks he's a new employee because how can they compare him to Superman IF THEY'VE NEVER SEEN SUPERMANS FACE!
God damn why do I have to explain this to people. I thought it was logical.

First, I don't remember this forgettable movie that well, but I seem to recall that Perry White and a few others were standing right there while superman and lois were making out. Which means they know what superman looks like and should have therefore recognized him when he walked through the door. Now even if this was not the case it still doesn't explain my next problem:
In this age of smartphones there is noway that superman wouldn't be caught on camera by somebody eventually. Hes not exactly operating at night time or stealthily like Batman... with that said, how does Clark intend to just "lay low" at the Daily Planet? The movie seems to be suggesting that that is the gameplan, but how long could that possibly last?

No smartphone would be able to get a quality picture at the speed he moves. Not to mention the entire city was getting destroyed I doubt the first thing that came to peoples minds were "ERMAGERD LET'S TAKE A PICTURE OF SUPERMAN!" I don't know how he plans to stay low, I'll watch Man of Steel 2 and find out. Also I can't seem to remember Perry being there at all. I don't think Perry has ever seen Kal.
