Could Nintendo do anything wrong with the 3DS that would allow the Vita to over take it in a few years?

Even if Nintendo packed a live scorpion into each box, I don't think the Vita would be good enough to capitalize. And I say that as an owner of the latter. People will gladly risk death by poison to play the new Pokemon. :p
