The PSP was, according to PR spin, never intended to compete with the DS. Of course, even if you don't factor in the DS, the PSP's software sales are atrociously bad. The only real reason I can see to keep it going is if the hardware end has finally become profitable. It's nice to say that the system is doing well, but really, it's not doing that great at all...
