I doubt Nintendo has enough riding on such a niche crossover game as SMT X FE that they'd really care what happens to Atlus if they weren't already interested in buying them.
Good to hear this is false, though. The mere mention of Capcom made my blood run cold.
GungHo is still the best choice. It would cost them like one month of Puzzle & Dragons profits!
