NintendoPie said: First, I was kidding. Second, I'm not sure I get what you are saying. Are you trying to say the Wii U has other problems that aren't related to SW? If so... uh, yeah. It does, I agree. Including price and marketing. |
I didn't get the joke... sorry.
Yeah... I was talking about that... first I think the name of the console used in the marketing generate more confusion than help Nintendo... I asked for some casual that have the Wii (they are not gamers) about the Wii U and most of them said "I already have a Wii"... I tried to explain the better things of Wii U but they said they like to play Mario Kart in Wii and if there are something like?.
Wii U is a bad name... Wii 2, Wii HD or another name should be a better option... most people things the Pad is an accessory for Wii lol
After that the price... I agree again... the price is too high for a casual console and the console don't have the biggest appeal with hardcore (not yet... laks software support... today even first-party title to not get into the weak third-party support).
And I my personal... hardware... not the specs... the gamepad... it is not something that get attention like Wii Remote did... it is not a new controller that show anything revolutionary (the casual people is using iPads when siting in front of the TV for years already... my ex-girlfriend did that... the iPad stays always near the couch.
So the gamepad didn't help too.
Eveything combined makes the Wii U a console not attractive to buyers... markething, price, software and hardware choices.
PS. A lot of what I wrote fits with Vita too lol... and Vita have a little more "problems".
