I've pre-ordered two games this generation so far....
The Orange Box - For the TF2 beta.
World of Goo - For the Chapter 1 preview.
In short I want something tangible right away if I'm giving and/or promising you my money right away. I can wait an extra week if it sells out, it doesn't bug me really.
