Maybe because Sony has their own android powered Playstation mobile platform in which they have already published like 5 games.

Right, I knew about this failure. All the more reason for analysts to recommend Sony to go iOS, because Sony's current approach to portable gaming is a train wreck.

Seems Sony is good at that, fostering "failures".  PS3, PSV, Playstation Mobile, im sure one of these days their bad actions will catch up with them.  Sony's current approach to portable is only what 10 years old?  Most companies tend to have difficult sophomore products and Sony is no different with the Vita. As long as its not hindering its financials, like the 3DS did for Nintendo, then im sure Sony will continue to foster it and will learn from it going into their next portable venture.
