If I want to play a game designed for Gamepad and Asymetric couch-multiplayer like what is there in Nintendo Land and some other rare gems... then I can play Wii U
If I want to play games on traditional controller... then I can play on PS3 or Xbox 360 or PS4 or Xbox One... so I don't know why anybody would want Nintendo's console to conform to the same thing as all the rest
