Steam has competition which will make them lower the costs of digital games doing great deals as part of their sales, XBox doesn't, the only place you can buy games for download is the store so they can fix prices.

Microsoft has indirect competition with PS+ and Steam, but to get a game on an XB console, you have to go through XBL....This is why One will never be as good as steam, especially with their policies, and this is why a Digital Distribution One console doesn't work. MS is just too damn greedy.
