NSMB wii sold far more than galaxy 1, galaxy 2, 64, sunshine, etc...
mario 3D world have more the appeal of NSMB wii than other 3D marios, and it would sell more.
A more complex mario would be more difficult to develop, and would take more time to develop, maybe it couldnt be brought at end of year, and would be more expensive to develop.
For selling wii Us and games, mario 3D world is the best choice.

w101 is a new IP that can please casual and hardcore.

DKC rather than metroid is also a good selling strategy, metroid sell less than DKC, take longer to develop and cost more.

A zelda remake is very easy(the game is already made) and cheap to develop. Can sell easily.

While they are learning to develop in wii U, the choices are the best at moment.
The games have good selling history, can be developed fast and cheap, and they can learn to bring good experiences in the new 3d mario a lá galaxy/64, new zelda and new metroid, which will come latter, maybe in 2015.

At least bundle options.
wii U with mario 3D world for 300$...
