Agree, but the chart in OP is misleading; it shows PC gaming to be about as big as console gaming when what we generally define as PC gaming is actually more in line with smartphone/tablet gaming in popularity. The chart you posted is much better.

edit: Actually I just realised this is based on revenue, and piracy is mad on PC, so any figure isn't going to represent how popular it really is.

I think it's more that genres like MMOs are much more popular on PC and demand much greater time investments. As well as web games being available to many people during work hours which primarily boost the PC play times. And the rise of F2P business models of course allows many gamers to get hundreds of hours of gameplay without paying a cent which is another reason why PC time is a little dispraportiante to revenue compaired to the day one $60 driven console market. Piracy's impact is much smaller than it once was and is much overblown in it's impact much like used games in the console market.
