A) Wii U is not going to "fail".
B) Nintendo continues to evolve as a company, which is GOOD. Just ask indie devs within the last year+. BUT, I would not want them to EVER change their core values or approach to how they make games, or the KINDS of games they make. In all honesty, they are one of only a small handful of major developers that still make games of an "old school" sensibility that actually APPEAL to me as a gamer. Nintendo, Vanillaware, Way Forward, Atlus, Sega to SOME extent (though they're a shadow of what they used to be). The list isn't very long, and it seems to get shorter. So I want Nintendo in THAT respect, to remain true to themselves, because they happen to make games I actually want to play. Not that I like EVERYTHING they make, but on average, they give me at least a couple of games a year that I like and enjoy. That's more than I can say for just about any other developer/publisher out there, anymore.
And this is coming from someone who used to love Capcom, Square, Enix, Midway, Konami, Namco, Sega, Rare, Hudson Soft, etc. etc.
