HD Gaming vs Wii...My opinion

32" Westy 720p LCD HDTV (had it for a few years now, need 2 upgrade)

Yamaha YHT-370 5.1 Surround Sound (had it for 2 years now) using 2 optical connections and 1 digital coax connection

Hooked up to that I have a
Xbox 360 Elite (HDMI)
A3 HD-DVD player (HDMI)
vip622 Dish network HD receiver (HDMI)

The Wii is hooked up to a non-HD set upstairs. I tried it downstairs on our HDTV but the anti-aliasing was a bit too much for me. It looks better on our 480i set.

I have my original Xbox1, SNES, NES, and N64 hooked up to another non HD set downstairs.


My ideal setup will be the same except for a new TV in the near future ( looking at a 42" to 52" Sharp AQUOS 1080p LCD HDTV)

Same surround sound (going to 7.1 from 5.1 is not that big of a deal breaker for me right now)
Eventually a PS3 or a Blu-ray player (depending on what/how many games Sony comes out with that interest me personally and/or price trends on the profile 2.0 BR players)
