Ai makes gameplay more challenging. If the Ai is used properly the gameplay bar actually rises. The Japanese are taking advantage of this to prevent stagnation in the evolution of their games. If they learn from the west but increase the quality of what they already have, we all win. It can't all be westerners fault. MGS5 looks like Kojima has been taking notes from Uncharted & Resident Evil.
