A lot of these games don't have complete sales data and I'm sure there's a few PS2 RPGs that aren't even in the database considering how many of the damn things there were.
That said the Mistwalker games are often cited as bombs because they not only cost more to develop than most (if not all) of the RPGs on the PS2 list but also because they're supposed to 'save' the 360 in Japan, something neither one has actually done. So while they may outperform the typical low-key PS2 RPG release due to massive backing by MS and lots of trumpeting, they're not really accomplishing too much.
