It's not shovelware. The DS version is not brilliant but nice. Nothing more or less than I expected (don't own the Wii version).
Who - except Sega & Nintendo - really cares if these games sell 4 million or only 4 thousand copies, as long as those who buy them get what they want.
I like these kind of games since I first played Accolade's Summer/Winter challenge in the early 90s. I also bought Torino 2006 for Xbox. If these summer/winter olympic kind of games are done well, they can be very funny for a quick competition.
