I think you got that backwards non technically minded people see graphics in a much shallower way, they only apreciate graphics on a surface level without apreciating the details of how it looks the way it does and why. A technically minded person apreciates a pretty image the same as anyone (aesthetic differences aside), but they also understand the work that goes into creating the image which adds a whole new depth to their appreciation.

No. non-technically minded people just see the whole picture and appreciate graphics as they are.

Technical whores look for flaws to bitch about.
