What point exactly, except different strokes for different folks, what OP pretty much is all about? I personally find Bioshock 1 leaps and bounds more immersive and engaging than TLoU.

My point is that The Last of Us did push story telling forward in the same way games like Bioshock and Halflife did before it. I wouldn't have enjoyed Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite nearly as much if their story telling wasn't good. Cause most FPS games don't do much to me. But in the case od that game series, it does it well enough and different enough to be appealing to me.

When it comes to The Last of Us, the story telling is present in most of its aspects. If these games represent the future of game story telling, it's gonna be an incredible time to be a gamer.

Well, fair enough - not saying it's a bad game, on the contrary, I just personally don't see it that important as Half Life/System Shock 2/Bioshock were, but that might just come to personal preference. (which I'm sure it is, e.g., I find I cared much more for Horatio and Crispin in Primordia (just finished it last week) than I ever did for Joel and Ellie, so, I guess I haven't found TLoU story that much engaging to begin with)
