Also, TLoU does look at least on par with UC3.

Not surprised that you'd make this thread, though.

I don't understand the complaints about the graphics in TLoU. And I'm PC gamer.

But being a PC gamer is probably the very reason some people are mentioning the graphics negatively. This late in the gen, a lot of gamers have now switched to PC gaming, in wait of the next gen. And it affects their judgement. That's my 2 cents, but it may not apply to everyone.

Personally, I think The Last of Us is one of the most impressive games on the PS3 from a graphics perspective. People going into it saying "heh, that's low res texture there..." clearly haven't played many games on console during the course of this gen.

I'm a PC gamer too, and TLoU is one of very few games in recent years where I haven't noticed many of the usual graphical blemishes in PS3 games. The character models, the effects, the lighting, the animations and the fluidity of everything...and not to mention the artstyle... are just amazing. The detail ND always manage to put into everything is unmatched. PC games may have higher resolutions, better AA, higher quality effects etc. yet somehow ND always manages to impress.

I agree with you there. Looking at the game as a whole, I'd say it's probably the best looking game on PS3 in my opinion.

You tell me. Prior to playing The Last of Us, I was playing games on my PC. And I play most of them on max settings in 1080p. Bioshock Infinite looks incredibly good in its DirectX 11 glory.

Yet when I played The Last of Us, I switched from max setting gameplay on PC, to a 720p native game with some not so great anti-aliasing compared to what I was used to for the last few months. I did notice those things at first. But after a short while, it didn't bother me at all anymore, and I was actually impressed by the graphics. "My, this looks so good" was thought quite a lot throughout my experience. Some people expect way more than I do, I guess. Since even with its 480p graphics, on a 1080p screen, I still think Super Mario Galaxy looks amazing.
