I remember Advertising for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl being all over the place. While watching Cartoon Network, I would see at least 4 commercials every hour or so. I would say that's pretty good.
If Nintendo can create an interesting commercial (like they did with Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon) and combine it with the amount of push they put into the D/P Ads then I think X/Y will do well.
