Gosh, I just assumed the PlayStations could do that. I didn't know until last month the PS3 was limited to two - as my friend had to buy another copy to play cause his other PS3 had broken (it was his 2nd one.) It had broken and he couldn't deactivate it or something like that.

Seems like a no brainier to me As other have pointed out X360 has had this for years. And it really doesn't take long to download most games - even on my slow 15mb/s cable. Plus, you can often do something else and it will download in the background.

He could. Online. It takes a long-ass time to download full blu-ray games. For many it could take up to a day.

I guess I have a pretty good internet speed, as it has never really taken anything near that long.  But I can always put it in the cue, and do something else.  It can continue download with the power is off.  It if takes more than 10 minutes annoyed.

But I think they only added the download while off feature after the 2011 dashboard update.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
