Some people are being kind of ridiculous about this. For one thing, does no one recall the false "Miyamoto is retiring" scare that happened a few years back? Even then, when correcting people, he said that he wanted to kind of step back, and work on smaller, more intimate projects again. I think he's grown weary of overseeing so much. I think as a creator, he wants to get back to creating again.
Will it be "revolutionary"? Compared to what? I think there's a very good chance that it could have some kind of innovative new twist/take that hasn't really been seen before. Because new gameplay ideas is what Miyamoto is really all about. But if people are thinking "OMG, what if it's a new epic franchise even better than ZELDA?"
Sorry, but get real. It'll probably be pretty cool. But it's not going to be some uber-cinematic HD "masterpiece" that some would probably try to imagine. That isn't his style.
