It looks like some developers are having an easy time, Monolithsoft seems to have developed the most advanced looking game by far. Some others like Retro and the Wii Fit Team seem to be struggling big time.

Retro is struggling big time? Why, because their Wii U game isn't a technical marvel?

It's not even that it's unimpressive, it's that it's in some areas, flat out bad. Retro has been known for incredible graphical prowess. Metroid Prime is still one of the most beautiful games ever (IMO) and they made that shit on the gamecube.  This game looks almost identical graphically to Returns, which was beautiful for the Wii, but that was the wii....

It is disappointing that after every previous Retro game pushing its hardware, this one doesn't, but that doesn't mean they'e struggling, they may just be aiming for simple graphics.

Could also be similar to Pikmin 3, where Tropical Freeze would have been a 2012 Wii game initially (which would actually fit with Retro's usual development speed), but a combination of Retro being diverted for Mario Kart 7 and Nintendo generally diverting games to Wii U pushed it to the other side.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
