You guys are like outsiders peeking at others greatness. FYI, the game is spectacular. Your problem is obvious, because a lot of n00bs have it. You didn't understand the complexities of the building system in the game, and weren't interested, so it turned you off. That's why I highly suggest strategy guides with this game, just like with Final Fantasy XII, to gain the most from your experience, and give you through one of the most complex and interesting games out for the PS2.

I'm happy we agreed: The crafing system bored me.

I'm never going to buy a strategy guide to figure out if a game is good or not. I had plenty of other games on the Gamecube + PS2 to play.

And...stop calling everyone who disagrees with you a n00b, thanks.

Not everyone, just those people who flamed the game after 3 hours of playing, after not liking Dark Cloud 1, after seeing someone else play it once, or after hearing that it sucked from a friend.  I was a Dark Cloud 2 n00b at first, myself, and hated the game. Later, I went back and got into it, and found it one of the most fufilling experiences on the PS2.

Also, fyi, never buy a strategy guide. There is a site, www.gamefaqs.com, it has the most indepth FAQ's, tips, and walkthroughs on the net or on paper. Just get your guide from there, for free.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
