Damn, you really think so? I haven't played either series myself, but a couple of my friends are into them, and they think both are great.
Not sure whether I've asked them outright which is better, but I know my friends well enough that I already know what their answer would be: "Well, there hasn't been a new SMT game in almost 10 years, so it's kind of hard to say."
