i agree with your attachment ratio but your making 2 mistakes! 1. WiiU will have much higher than 3.5mil by years end, . 2.unless you think including holiday and Mario,Zelda,DK wont have any affect on hardware sales lol. Pikmin will be sold pretty nicely through out holiday since nintendo games do very well during that period!

I think that is exactly why it's unlikely Pikmin will sell well during the year-end sales season.  Precisely because all of those big headline titles are coming out.  Pikmin can't possibly compete with 3D World, DKC, or Wind Waker HD.  No way.  I think Pikmin sells a few hundred thousand worldwide during the July/August global release window, and then sales taper off in September and at that point it's no longer a big seller.  Too much competition from better-known properties.  Pikmin 3 will need to be bundled with Wii U or marked down to $39 or $29 after the year is over in order to maintain a long tail. 

Since it is a game that appears to be made for Wii U and isn't possible on any other platform, it seems like a natural fit for a bundle.  Just not this year.
