I think you all are blaming this on the wrong people. Stop saying "Nintendo" and start saying "NoA" or "Nintendo of America."
They are basically the red-headed step child of the Nintendo of *Insert Country here* groups.
Also, I don't see how this would've given them any positives or negatives. I doubt having their game there would promote their new Smash Bros, so I see no reason as to why this could be a "benefit." Although, I also see no side to having their game being there a negative either. I guess because NoA.
