I'm not in the mood to read pessimistic, ignorant comments about Nintendo but Nintendo has been in this position many times before. Nintendo is made up of stronger stuff to listen to Western companies like EA and Activision.

The DS faced similar backlash, the Wii faced extreme initial backlash, and the 3DS was in Wii U's position and now it has been the best selling console for many months and nobody seems to want to note that. People are just selfish and ignorant, simple as that.

Everyone just seems to throw Nintendo under the bus just because their lackluster ports sold like crap and their newest games are no 3D Mario or Mario Kart.

Iwata is a smart dude. I like his attitude and optimism. He knows Wii U isn't doing well but he still speaks solutions. Western developers are all about exposing problems and exposing the Wii U problems they have done. And quite frankly they, along with the attention hungry media, gotten to be experts of making Nintendo's Wii U look hopeless. They ignore Nintendo's first party titles which will save Wii U. The 3DS wasn't selling all that great and here came Super Mario 3D Land to lift the 3DS up. I don't know if 3D World can do the same, that is up to Nintendo's marketing efforts and appeal of the game. I love my Wii U and Smash Bros. and Mario Kart will only enhance that feeling. Keep your eye on Nintendo... they will surprise us I'm sure of it.
