The ps3 and xbox 360 BOTH cant do games in 1080p and 60fps, nuff said the conversation should end there. The wiiu is ahead of the ps3 and xbox 360. you might say 'look at the last of us, it looks way better than any wiiu game'' well to that i say look at all the titles that came out a year after the ps3 (and especially the xbox 360) and than compare

This, the wii wasn't able to do more than 480p so it was a gen behind the ps3 and xbox 360 now that wii U is a gen ahead of the wii it's the same gen as the ps360 nuff said

The Neo Geo was able to do things that most consoles couldn't match until the Dreamcast/PS2/Xbox/GC era, but that doesn't change the fact that it was released back in 1990 and is a contemporary of the SNES/Genesis. The idea of power alone determining a generation is a false one. Heck, look at the hand held contest, the Game Boy line usually had the weakest system on the market but was compared to more powerful devices, same with the DS vs PSP, no doubt they are the same generation but their abilites are vastly different.

The original Nintendo Entertainment System/Famicom was not stronger then either of Sega's two first entries (SG-1000 or Master System/Mark III) but they are all grouped in the same generation. The only way the Wii U isn't grouped with the PS4 or Xbox One would be if Nintendo killed the system off early and even then they are likely to still be grouped together just like the Dreamcast is with the PS2/Xbox and GC.
