For this generation it is going to be. I own PS3, but my Wii was my "main" console last gen as well, simply by virtue of the fact that I played more games on it, more often. I mainly use my PS3 for media streaming.

This gen, I just am not that interested in what I've seen early on from PS4, and cannot afford nor justify spending $500+ on another console. I already have a Wii U, and am greatly looking forward to many games, but retail and eShop, that are coming to it. In my personal case, even if if Wii U doesn't get certain third party titles, such as GTA, Battlefield, etc., I will not be "missing out" on anything, because I don't buy those games for my PS3 either. I do believe the more third party titles Wii U can get the better, which is always the case for any console. But I personally won't be missing out on much, if Wii U gets skipped over for certain games. The only way this wouldn't be the case, is for example any potential future Vanillaware games, etc. coming to another console other than Wii U.

Nope, cant see how any sensible person would subject themselves to Nintendo's constant delays, inconstant release schedule and inability to support is own peripherals for the sake of one maybe two games a year.
