Anti-gamer? why in the world would microsoft release a new console if there were anti gamer? Maybe since microsoft screwed up the messaging on their original plans and the internets irrantional-overly emotional response, perhaps..... just maybe.... there was some bogus information out there. Maybe you should think before you speak.

Microsoft changed plans. They went from online required to no online required. They went from region lock to no region lock. They went anti-used games to pro-used games.
People stood up and let them know what they thought. Preorders told them what gamers thought.
Microsoft accepted it, you should too.

Lol... Online required whats the big problem, I leave my systems connect all the time. I happen to "notice" your on the internet, so whats your problem with?
Really region lock, thats the weakest issue i've ever heard of. Microsfot was never going to ban used games, you could still take your games to gamestop and sell them. you could still walk in to gamestop and buy used games. They were just going to put a licensing system in place and a small fee that goes to the publishers. Thats all it was. None of those make them "Anti-gamer", that just means you're stupid. Well yea pre-orders suffered, it's was a rather large phony controversy. BTW sony was going to implement a similar drm system. Not because they were "anti-gamer", it was to prevent piracy.
You say, "Anti-Consumer"
I say, " you're an idiot"
You say, "anti-gamer"
I say, "Never go full retard"

Were Microsoft forced to change policies?
Why did Microsoft change policies?
The always on didnt impact me, but it did impact Millions of gamers. The anti-used games stuff didnt impact me, but it did have an impact on Millions of gamers who rely on the used game market. The region locking didnt have an impact on me, but it would have had an impact on many people.
Its not about me or you, its about the market as a whole. The market rejected the One and thats why Microsoft were FORCED to change policies. You can call me an idiot if you want, but youre the one who is being ignorant to what happened and why they had to change.

You don't really need to argue about Microsofts initial anti-consumerist policies in the beginning, thats pretty much all fact by now. Microsoft even disappointed many die hards, which is pretty bad. You're right they were forced to change their ways so its not even worth arguing.
