It really depends on what features you think 5S will have. I know one big thing is improved battery life. The 5, like many of 2012 Androids, suffers from worse batter life due to the inclusion of LTE radios. However, the late 2013 Androids and all going forward have greatly improved batteries due to LTE radios being improved and many times included all in one chip with other radios and so forth. So that is a big plus to likely wait for 5S.

Talk time over LTE does take a small hit, I suspect because of Apple's HD audio feature.

Very interesting, now I am always going to have LTE active on my 5. I wonder how it extends battery life though. hmm

LTE uses lower frequencies than 3G most of the time (800 MHz in europe, I think 900 MHz in the US) which results in less energy drain. If you live in a big city however, LTE uses frequencies like 1800 MHz or 2800 MHz (or something in between, depends on your region) which will drain your battery a lot quicker.
For reference, 3G uses frequencies at about 2 GHz.
