It's quite the opposite of what you claim actually.. Wii was WAY ahead of its time, which is the reason Sony and MS are now trying to "catch up" with their motion control Wii-type games. PS3 and 360 were and are the ones behind the times, clinging to the same old type of games and gameplay, and also the reason they are fighting for second place. Wii was truly something new. |
Wii wasn't ahead of its time, it was a fad that quickly faded away. It's why the Wii got outsold in the UK and why it will be outsold in the US. It's also why the Wii U is struggling. People just got tired of motion controls once they figured out they are just waggling. Sony tried to create a more realistic motion control experience with PS Move, people didn't care. Wii left a bad taste in peoples mouths. Motion Controls aren't the future, they are the past. Even Microsoft has given up on trying to push Kinect as the future of gaming, its just a Siri-box now.
