Just realized this, but comparing Nintendo's Wii U HD growing pains to Sony's and Microsoft's is a little unfair. This is clearly going to be a generation defined by open world games, which have notably higher production costs than normal HD games. The trailer for X confirmed it was open world, and while we haven't heard anything definite about the Zelda game, open world would make sense there, too.
Nintendo is going through two generations worth of growing pains in one console. Ouch.
