We may well see an increase in open world games, but I also think there will be plenty of developers making linear games with grander level design. Take the campaign in Killzone: Shadow Fall, still a linear game but with larger environments and the ability to take on multiple objectives in the same area in the order the player wants.

The other thing we may see is normal sized levels with huge levels of interactivity due to the increase in physics simulation.
