Most of my friends can't wait for this game, but honestly I'm staying far, far away from it.  I hate games that are online all the time, I don't care about the minor benefits, if I pay $60 for a game I want to own it, that means playing it whenever I want, now or 10 years down the line, which obviously Destiny will become obselete when they shut the servers down.


I really don't understand why I wouldn't be able to enjoy Demon's Souls or Dark Souls 10 years from now. Sure, it's not always online anymore, but that doesn't stop my  from accomplishing anything in the game. 


Not sure what you mean, for this game when they stop surpporting the servers and shut them down then your discs become frisbees. 


Link to where the dev  confirms you can't play it offline? As far as I can tell, it would be just like playing Borderlands offline.

I don't know how you don't know this yet, it was basically one of the first things we knew about the game.
