Yea, even on island you can understand almost all of them.  I'm just trying to say that there are some Rastas that talk in a heavy Jamaican accent that is hard for a normal English speaker to understand. 

 

That's true in some sense. Rastas tend to use heavy slang. "Bumbo clatt, rass clatt, deaders, batty, ital, irie, etc" and then tend to contract a lot of the words in English language. "Me ah dweet" I will do it. "Pon de river" = On the river. It took me a LONG time to understand only some of it. Double negatives are used a lot too and that may confuse some people.

 

You just gave me a thought ... Trinidadians are supposodely easier on the ears ... let me know what you think of this one.
