Masses do not care for PC, neither do the majority of console gamers.
But i agree there is no way the ps4 is selling that much on day one, but I expect it to sell extremely well. The price is perfect, both it and the X1 has the best launch line up we've probably ever seen for a new console. 3-4m depending on when it launches is what I'm expecting, essentially they will sell through their initial shipment.
Should pass the Wii U in late 2014.
